St. Anthony’s Announcements
Second Sunday of Easter (Divine Mercy)
April 12, 2026
Today we celebrate the Second Sunday of Easter or Divine Mercy Sunday.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Briget Kleiss, Mary Ann Anderson, Fred Zemke, Karen Leader, Hart Williamson, Ernie Saldana, Jim and Debbie Benjamin, Jim and Kay Brown, Loretta Alt, Father Ignatius and Father Ted and all parishioners suffering from illnesses as well as those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.
St. Anthony’s is launching a new Evangelization Committee and we are looking for volunteers who want to help share our faith within our community. Please see the bulletin for more information and contact information for Andrew Lane who is leading this committee.
A special congratulations to Nola Adsit who is being baptized this weekend following Saturday Mass.
We are very excited to announce that we have 8 St. Anthony’s students who will be confirmed at the Cathedral next Saturday, April 18. Congratulations to Roselyn Acosta, Bridget Lopez, Leo Lugo, Addison Smith, Jasmine Garcia, Daniel Garcia, Scarlet Sabino, and Stacie Perez.
St. Anthony’s will have our Annual Spring Cleaning Day on Saturday, April 25 from 8am-12 pm. Lunch will be served. We hope many will join us. It’s a fun day of work and fellowship.
At the February meeting, the Parish Council invited Hoopeston Police to discuss safety in the church and the hall. We walked through both buildings and discussed procedures we should take if an intruder were to enter. If at any time you observe an unknown person acting suspicious, please do not hesitate to alert an usher or another nearby parishioner. If you would like more information, please see a parish council member.
In this week’s bulletin, there is an error in Thursday-Saturday Mass times. Please follow our typical Mass time schedule.
