Fall Vendor & Craft Fair

  • The Vendor Fair will be on Sat. Nov. 1 from 9 am to 3 pm. If you know of a vendor who would like participate have them contact Debbie in the office.

  • The famous St. Anthony tacos will be available to purchase from 11 am until we run out.

  • Held in the Parish Hall by our Special Events Committee, this Craft & Vendor Fair continues to be a big hit.

  • Each Sunday, we would like for K-8 students participating in Faith Formation classes to sign in when they attend Mass. There is a sheet at the back of the church.   Incentives will be given for Mass and Class attendance.

  • On Saturday, November 15, at 11:30, all Danville area Senior Parish Members are invited to a free luncheon at the Motsett Center.  Please see the bulletin for reservation information.

  • To date, ADA donations and pledges are at  $4422.24. This is 22% of our $19,787 goal. Thank you to those who have turned in their pledges and donations.

  • The CCD youth will meet at 5 pm on Wed. Oct. 22. Please note the changes in time for the OCIA(5pm) and the adult bible study(6:15pm) which will also meet on Wed. Oct. 15.

  • OCIA meets at the Rectory and Bible study meets at the Hall.

  • The next Coffee & Rosary will be Tues. OCT. 21 at 9:15 in the Parish Hall. Everyone is invited to participate. Light refreshments will be served.

  • The next meeting of Danville Area Women Connect will be at St. Anthony on OCT. 25 from 9am to 11 am. There will be a light breakfast served. Anyone who has questions can contact Linda Nicholls at 217- 260-4599.

  • Thank you to all who made a pledge to the Annual Diocesan Appeal. Your generosity helps give food to the hungry, training to our seminarians, and give support to parishes. The ADA helps parishes support programs for forming children like Catechesis of the Good Shepard. If you have not completed a pledge card, please do so. There are envelopes in the pews. Every dollar raised to make our goal supports important diocesan ministries, and every dollar raised over our goal will be kept in the parish to help us. To those who have pledged Thank you. Our goal is $19,787.

Adult Classes with Thomas Baldwin will begin on Wednesday,September 17 not the 10th as announced last week.. Adult sessions will be held in the rectory living room. You can enter through the front door.

  • Today we celebrate The Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  Today’s feast commemorates the veneration and triumph of the cross, a symbol of Christ’s sacrifice, victory over sin and death, and ultimate redemption for humanity. The readings begin on page 212.

A special welcome to Father Leonard Mutesigwa from Tanzania  who is our guest at St. Anthony’s for the next several weeks.  We are glad to have you here Father Leonard!

  • If you attend St. Anthony’s regularly and would like to become a registered member of our community, you can find registration forms in the back of the church in the pamphlet rack.

  • Today we celebrate the 23rd Sunday in Ordinary time.  The readings begin on page 210..
