The Exaltation of the Holy Cross

September 13-14, 2025 

• Today we celebrate The Exaltation of the Holy Cross.  Today’s feast commemorates the veneration and triumph of the cross, a symbol of Christ’s sacrifice, victory over sin and death, and ultimate redemption for humanity. The readings begin on page 212. 

• Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Salvador Mendez Gonzalez,Lovelynn McNew, Amanda Martinez, Nancy Forch, Steve Sheppard, Ernie Saldana, Lupe Martinez, Bill and Cookie Spivey, Jim and Debbie Benjamin, and Jim and Kay Brown, Loretta Alt and all those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.

• The next Coffee and Rosary will be Tuesday, September 16 at 9:15 in the Parish Hall. Everyone is invited to attend.

• Children’s Faith Formation classes begin on Wednesday, September 17 at 5PM in the parish hall.  If you have not yet registered your children, you may do that between 4:30-5 on Wednesday.  Fees are $25 per child or $50 for families of 3 or more children.

• Each Sunday, we would like for students to sign in when they attend Mass. There is a sheet at the back of the church.   Incentives will be given for Mass attendance.

• Adult Classes with Thomas Baldwin also begin on September 17.  There has been a change in the schedule.   OCIA will begin at 5 PM  in the Rectory Living room.  Bible study will follow at 6:15.

• St. Anthony’s Parish Council is placing the parish farm up for bid.  Details can be found on the parish website listed on the front of the bulletin.  The bid period ends on September 25.

• The Annual Diocesan Appeal is now underway.  If you did not receive a pledge card in the mail, pledge cards can be found in the pews. Please place your pledge card in the offertory basket or mail directly to the Diocese.  Our goal this year has gone up to $19,787.  

• St. Vincent de Paul will be collecting loose change following Mass today.

• Hoy celebramos la Exaltación de la Santa Cruz. Esta festividad conmemora la veneración y el triunfo de la cruz, símbolo del sacrificio de Cristo, la victoria sobre el pecado y la muerte, y la redención definitiva de la humanidad. Las lecturas comienzan en la página 212.

•  Por favor, oren por todos los amigos y familiares de San Antonio que están enfermos o han fallecido. Esta semana, queremos orar especialmente por Salvador Méndez González, Lovelyn McNew, Amanda Martínez, Nancy Forch, Steve Sheppard, Ernie Saldaña, Lupe Martínez, Bill y Cookie Spivey, Jim y Debbie Benjamin, Jim y Kay Brown, Loretta Alt y todos los que aparecen en nuestro boletín parroquial semanal.

• El próximo Café y Rosario será el martes 16 de septiembre a las 9:15 en el Salón Parroquial. Todos están invitados.

• Las clases de Formación en la Fe para Niños comienzan el miércoles 17 de septiembre a las 17:00 h en el salón parroquial. Si aún no ha inscrito a sus hijos, puede hacerlo entre las 16:30 y las 17:00 h del miércoles. El costo es de $25 por niño o $50 para familias de 3 o más niños.

• Las clases para adultos con Thomas Baldwin también comienzan el 17 de septiembre. El estudio bíblico será en la rectoría parroquial a las 5. OCIA comenzará a las 6:15 en el Salón Parroquial.

• El Consejo Parroquial de San Antonio está licitando la granja parroquial. Puede encontrar más información en el sitio web de la parroquia, que aparece en la portada del boletín. El plazo de licitación finaliza el 25 de septiembre.

• La Campaña Diocesana Anual ya está en marcha. Si no recibió su tarjeta de compromiso por correo, puede encontrarla en las bancas. Por favor, coloque su tarjeta de compromiso en la canasta del ofertorio o envíela directamente a la Diócesis. Nuestra meta de este año ha ascendido a $19,787.

• San Vicente de Paúl estará recolectando cambio suelto después de la misa de hoy.
