Fifth Sunday of Easter

Good Evening/Good Morning! Welcome and thank you to all who have joined us today for this Eucharistic Celebration.
We especially would like to welcome the families and friends of our First Communicants. Today we will be celebrating Nola Adsit, Amina Colunga, Jocelyn Garcia, Leonardo Meraz, and Dylan Sabino.
Today we celebrate the Fifth Sunday of Easter . The readings begin on page 147.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Javier Saldana, Kim Burch, Briget Kleiss, Fred Zemke, Hart Williamson, Loretta Alt, Father Ignatius and Father Ted and all parishioners suffering from illnesses as well as those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.
Thank you to those of you who pitched in for our spring cleaning event last Saturday. Several items were checked off our list but there is a lot more that we need to do! Please contact Debbie, Brandon Smith, or Eric Layden if you are willing to assist with other projects.
Please join us for a reception for the First Communicants, newly confirmed, and soon to be graduates immediately following 9 AM Mass. Breakfast and cake will be served.
Nominations are being accepted for annual service awards and lifetime service awards. Forms are in the back and can be placed in the collection basket.
The Parish Council will meet Thursday, May 7 at 6PM. Everyone is welcome.
Don’t forget about Bingo on Tue. May 12. Doors open at 5pm and food is available.
Coffee & Rosary May 19 at 9:15 am.
CCD & Adult Bible study will be Wed. May 6 at normal times.
St. Anthony’s is participating in the Hoopeston city-wide garage sale on June 6-7. Donations can be dropped off at the Parish Hall starting Thurs. May21 from noon to four. after that, donations can be dropped on Mon., Wed. and Thurs. from noon to four.
There some parishes that are reserving busses to attend the Beatification of Fulton Sheen in St. Louis. Contact Debbie if you would like to head a group to do this. St. Anthony Parish is launching a new Evangelization Committee & we are looking for volunteers who want to help. Contact Andrew Lane at 765-505-2558.
