Sixth Sunday of Easter
May 10, 2026
Happy Mother’s Day! Welcome and thank you to all who have joined us today for this Eucharistic Celebration.
Congratulations to our 2026 graduates! Sarahanne Baldwin, Shay Layden, Jackie Resendez, and Silas Yates we wish you many blessings in the coming years!
Today we celebrate the Sixth Sunday of Easter . The readings begin on page 150.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Javier Saldana, Kim Burch, Darvin Taylor, Briget Kleiss, Fred Zemke, Hart Williamson, Loretta Alt, Father Ignatius and Father Ted and all parishioners suffering from illnesses as well as those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.
Nominations are being accepted for annual service awards and lifetime service awards. Forms are in the back and can be placed in the collection basket.
You should have received a letter in the mail this week about the Vermilion County Parish Merger. If you did not receive a letter, it is very possible that you are not officially registered in our parish data system. We would like to encourage you to register, as this may help in decisions about Mass schedules at St. Anthony’s as we move forward. Registration forms can be found in the back of the church. Copies of the letter are available in the back of the church.
Tom Kasalis and Brandon Smith will be St. Anthony’s representatives for the merger. If you would like to give them input about the merger, they will be meeting with parishioners next Sunday, May 17 at 2:00 PM in the parish hall.
St. Anthony’s will be participating in the Summer Hygiene Drive for Hoopeston Area Schools. A container will be in the back of the church for your donations.
It’s time to clean your closets! St. Anthony’s will be accepting gently used items for our garage sale beginning on Thursday, May 21.
Don’t forget about Bingo on Tue. May 12. Doors open at 5pm and food is available.
Coffee & Rosary May 19 at 9:15 am.
There some parishes that are reserving busses to attend the Beatification of Fulton Sheen in St. Louis. Contact Debbie if you would like to head a group to do this. St. Anthony Parish is launching a new Evangelization Committee & we are looking for volunteers who want to help. Contact Andrew Lane at 765-505-2558.
