The 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time

Good evening/Good morning!
Welcome and thank you to all who have joined us today for this Eucharistic Celebration. A special welcome and thank you to our priests who are covering for Father Ignatius this weekend.
Today we celebrate the 15th Sunday in Ordinary Time . The readings begin on page 178.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased.
This week we especially want to pray for Father Ignatius, Father Bo, Jim Benjamin, Jonathan Nichols, Linda Nichols, Javier Saldana, Father Ted and all parishioners suffering from illnesses as well as those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.
We are hopeful that Father Ignatius will be coming home on Monday. For a while he will have to go to Danville 3 days a week, probably Monday, Wednesday and Friday for Dialysis. He may need rides until we know if he will be strong enough to drive himself. Also it may be helpful to bring meals this first week he is home. If you would like to volunteer to assist, please call Linda Sheppard.
Father is hoping to resume weekday masses on Tuesday and Thursday and possibly Wednesday and Friday depending on the time of his dialysis in Danville.
Brandon and Tom met with the parish merger committee on Thursday. Ten parish names have been chosen. You will receive a mailing the week of July 22 to vote on the name.The deadline for votes is August 9 and then the top 3 names will be submitted to the Bishop on August 20. Other topics being discussed are housing for priest and parish finances.july
There are many opportunities to serve at St. Anthony’s. Please consider being a server, usher, lector, Eucharistic Minister, or helping on a committee such as St. Vincent de Paul, Liturgy, Evangelization, Bingo, or Special Events.
St. Anthony’s Parish Picnic has been postponed to a later date. Mark your calendars for Saturday, August 1 at the parish hall.
St. Anthony’s is having a Raffle to raise money for Father Leonard’s church in Tanzania and unexpected expenses Father Ignatius has incurred. See Becky Martinez for Tickets.
