St. Anthony’s Announcements
The 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time
August 2, 2026
Good evening/Good morning!
Welcome, and thank you to everyone who has joined us today for this Eucharistic celebration. We extend a special welcome and thank-you to Father Jim, who is covering for Father Ignatius this weekend.
Today we celebrate the 18th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The readings begin on page 185.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased.
This week, we especially remember Jack and Sarah Miller, Father Ignatius, Father Bo, Jim Benjamin, Jonathan Nichols, Linda Nichols, Javier Saldana, Father Ted, all parishioners suffering from illness, and those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.
Father Ignatius has had a difficult week managing his blood sugar. He is now taking insulin regularly and hopes to resume his Mass schedule soon. He will continue receiving dialysis in Danville three days each week—Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. He is very appreciative of the meals and rides so many of you have offered. What a wonderful church family!
Linda Nichols is home, doing very well, and welcomes visitors.
Our Parish Picnic will be held in the parish hall following the 5:00 p.m. Mass. Hot dogs and sloppy joes will be provided. Please join us for food, fellowship, and fun!
You should have received a ballot in the mail to vote for our new parish name. Ballots must be returned by August 9. Additional ballots are available in the back of the church, as each adult parishioner may submit a vote.
Several St. Anthony’s parishioners attended the Freedom Luncheon at the Mottsett Center last Friday. Those who attended felt very welcome and encourage others to participate this fall. For more information, please speak with Debbie.
