Welcome and thank you to all who have joined us today for this Eucharistic Celebration. A special welcome and thank you to Father Ted and Father Jim who are covering for Father Ignatius this weekend.
Today we celebrate the 21st Sunday in Ordinary Time . The readings begin on page 195..
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased.
This week we especially want to pray for Jack and Sarah Miller, Father Ignatius, Father Bo, Jim Benjamin, Jonathan Nichols, Linda Nichols, Javier Saldana, Father Ted and all parishioners suffering from illnesses as well as those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.

Bingo — Tuesday, August 25
The next Bingo is Tuesday, August 25. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and games begin at 6:00 p.m.
Come join us for an evening of fun and fellowship! Food will be available for purchase, along with homemade desserts.
We are always looking for Bingo volunteers. If you would like to help, please let one of our workers know. It would only require one Tuesday a month. Donations of baked goods for dessert are also always appreciated.
Father Ignatius Is Home!
Father Ignatius is home! Praise God! Please continue to keep him in your prayers as he continues his recovery.
Linda Nichols
Linda Nichols has been admitted to Accolade in Paxton for rehabilitation. She welcomes visitors. Please continue to keep Linda in your prayers.
Coffee & Rosary — September 15
The next Coffee & Rosary will be Tuesday, September 15. Everyone is welcome to attend, and light refreshments will be served.
You don't need to bring anything — just come and enjoy the fellowship.
Sweet Corn Festival & St. Anthony's Taco Stand
The Sweet Corn Festival and St. Anthony's Taco Stand are just around the corner!
If you would like to donate tomatoes, they may be dropped off at the Parish Hall beginning August 30.
Parish Council Meeting
The Parish Council will hold its next meeting on Thursday, September 10, at 6:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall.
Parishioners are always welcome to attend.
Faith Formation Begins September 23
Families, please mark your calendars! Faith Formation will begin Wednesday, September 23, with Mass and registration.
We still need a few teachers. If you are interested in helping, please contact Linda Sheppard.
Interested in Becoming Catholic?
If you are interested in becoming Catholic, or know someone who may be interested, OCIA classes will begin soon.

St. Mary's Dunnington
There will be a final Mass with Bishop Doherty at St. Mary's Dunnington. Plans call for the church building to be torn down at a later date.
School Is Starting
School will be starting soon, and school sports are already underway.
Please be especially watchful for children around our schools, school crossings, and those big yellow buses as everyone settles into the new school year.
