This Week’s Announcements

St. Anthony’s Announcements
The 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time
September 13, 2026

Good evening/good morning!

Welcome, and thank you to everyone who has joined us today for this Eucharistic Celebration.

  • Today we celebrate the 24th Sunday in Ordinary Time. The readings begin on page 200.

  • Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased.

This week, we especially pray for Jonathan Nichols, Linda Nichols, Jack and Sarah Miller, Father Ignatius, Father Bo, Jim Benjamin, Javier Saldana, Father Ted, all parishioners suffering from illness, and those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.

  • Beginning Monday, Father Ignatius’s dialysis schedule will change to mornings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday. Weekday Masses will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays at 8:30 a.m. Adoration on Thursdays will be from 9:00–10:00 a.m. All-day Adoration will resume on Thursday, October 1.

  • The next Coffee & Rosary will be Tuesday, September 15. Everyone is welcome! Light refreshments will be served. You don’t need to bring anything—just come and enjoy the fellowship.

  • If you are interested in becoming Catholic, or know someone who may be interested, OCIA classes will begin soon. An informational meeting will be held Wednesday, September 16, at 5:00 p.m. in the Parish Hall. Please contact Thomas Baldwin at 563-663-0559 or Debbie in the parish office for more information.

  • A final Mass will be celebrated with Bishop Doherty at St. Mary’s in Dunnington on Thursday, September 17, at 6:00 p.m. Indiana time. There are plans for the church building to be torn down at a later date.

  • The next Bingo will be Tuesday, September 22. Doors open at 5:00 p.m., and games begin at 6:00 p.m. Come join us for an evening of fun and fellowship! Food will be available for purchase, along with homemade desserts.

  • Families, please mark your calendars! Faith Formation begins Wednesday, September 23, at 5:00 p.m. with Mass and registration.

  • On Thursday, September 24, St. Anthony’s will livestream the Beatification of Fulton Sheen. The parish hall will open at 9:45 a.m. for the pre-beatification program. The Beatification Mass will begin at 2:00 p.m.

  • Bishop Tylka has approved St. Elizabeth Parish as the name of our merged parish. The new name cannot be formally decreed until the new parish has been officially established.

  • Thank you to everyone who has already participated in this year’s Annual Diocesan Appeal (ADA). This year’s theme, “You Will Be My Witnesses,” comes to life through ministries that change lives every day—from helping young men discern vocations through Emmaus Days, to strengthening marriages and families, and serving those in need through Catholic Charities.

If you have not yet made your gift, please prayerfully consider participating. Our parish is striving for 100% participation, and every dollar raised above our parish goal of $22,755 will be returned to St. Anthony’s.

  • Vendor Fair — Saturday, November 7. Please mark your calendars. More information will be coming soon.

  • Debbie will be out of the office through September 16. If you have an emergency, please contact the rectory.

  • A very special thank you to Father John for being here and assisting Father Ignatius and our parish during his illness. May God bless you, Father John!
