Today we celebrate Pentecost Sunday. The readings begin on p.168.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Kathy Purkhiser, Carlos Juarez, Bill and Cookie Spivey, Jonathan Nichols, Jim and Debbie Benjamin, Jim and Kay Brown, Father Ted and Father Ignatius, Dolores Forch, Raquel Torres, Jerry and Pat Northam, and Loretta Alt.
Thanks to the special events committee and all who donated items forSt. Anthony’s garage sale this weekend. Once again the special events committee dedicated many hours of service for this fundraising project.
The Liturgy and Special Events Committees will meet together on Monday, June 9 at 6 PM to plan for Corpus Christi Mass and begin planning for Bishop Tylka’s Jubilee Mass and Meal.
Father Ignatius will be at a retreat beginning on Monday this week so there will be no weekday Masses on Tuesday,June 10 Wednesday, June 11 or Thursday, June 12. Additionally there will be No Adoration on Thursday, June 12.
The next Coffee and Rosary is Tuesday, June 17 at 9:15AM. Please excuse the error in the bulletin that indicates the date as June 15.
Good news! After many years without a current directory, St. Anthony’s will be creating a new photo directory. We’d love to have everyone’s participation! On Saturday, June 21 from 4-5 PM and Sunday, June 22 from 10:30 AM -12:30 PM, Victoria Spivey will be set up in the Parish Hall to take individual or family photos. You will also be asked to complete a form with updated contact information for the directory. Please plan for 10-15 minutes before or after Mass.
Bishop Louis Tylka will be coming to St. Anthony’s to celebrate Mass on Sunday, July 20th. We will have a special Mass at 11am with a meal following. Please plan to join us for this special opportunity.
We are in need of more help on Thursdays for Adoration. Please contact Debbie in the Office if you are willing to be a partner with a current adorer.
The Methodist Church has completed 8 water resistant sleeping mat and are requesting more shopping bags. Please leave them in the back of our church.
We are in NEED of Mass Intentions. There is no better way to honor those you love than to offer a Mass for their intentions. Please use the form in the bulletin.
There will be a Catholic Night Out with a Danville Dans baseball game on July 1 with rain date being July 3. This open to all Catholics in Vermilion County.
The next Coffee & Rosary will be Tuesday June 17 at 9:15. Everyone is welcome to attend. There will be light refreshments.
