This Week’s Announcements


  • St. Anthony’s Announcements The 14th Sunday in Ordinary Time July 5-6, 2025  Today we celebrate The 14th Sunday in Ordinary time.

  • Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Steve Sheppard, Ernie Saldana,Lupe Martinez, Bill and Cookie Spivey, Jonathan Nichols, Jim and Debbie Benjamin, Jim and Kay Brown, Father Ted and Father Ignatius, Dolores Forch, Raquel Torres, Jerry and Pat Northam, and Loretta Alt.

  • In the back of the church is a gray tub titled “Area Churches Unite”.  We have been asked to collect basic hygiene products for students in need for the upcoming school year. Items can be placed in the tub through June and July.  Thank you for your donations.

  • There will be a Spanish mass each month on the 2nd and 4th Sundays at 11AM with Father Ted as the celebrant.  The next Spanish Mass will be Sunday, July 13.

  • The next parish council meeting is Thursday, July 3 at 6PM.  All are invited to attend.

  • We have changed our clean up day from July 12 to Friday, July 18 at 9AM.  If you are available to help that day, please join us for a few hours. 

  • MARK YOUR CALENDARS! Bishop Louis Tylka is coming to St. Anthony’s to celebrate Mass at 11 am on Sunday July 20. Note there is a different Mass time. Please join us for this special event. There will be a reception/luncheon serving fried chicken and ham. We would like our parish to provide the side dishes. At the end of each pew, there is an RSVP for the Bishop’s Mass and luncheon.  Please let us know if you will be attending. Parishioners from other churches in our vicariate have also been invited so we want to assure we have plenty of seating and food for everyone.

  • The Vermilion County Catholic Vicariate is holding its Vermilion County Catholic Golf Scramble on Sunday, Aug. 3 at Wolf Creek Golf Club with a 1 pm shot-gun start. Please call 217-446-1025 if you are interested in golfing.

  • The next Coffee & Rosary will be at 9:30am pm July 15 at the Parish Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend.

  • There was a good turnout for our directory photos session. There will be another chance to do photos probably in Aug. or Sept. More info to come later.

  • As part of the Jubilee, the Diocese of Peoria is commissioning a book about the Diocese and her churches. They hope to have it ready for sale by Easter 2026. There is a photographer coming to every church in the Diocese to take pictures. More info soon.
