First Sunday of Advent

Good evening!/ Good Morning! Thank you to all who have joined us today for this Eucharistic Celebration. Welcome to visitors, guests and parishioners. If you are attending St. Anthony’s regularly but have not registered as a member, we invite you to complete the registration form in the brochure rack in the back of the church. Or you can stop in or call Debbie in the office.
Today we celebrate The First Sunday of Advent. The readings begin on page 31. Today we begin Liturgical Calendar year A. Most of the gospel readings will be from the book of Matthew.
Please pray for all St. Anthony’s friends and family members who are ill or deceased. This week we especially want to pray for Jerry and Pat Northam, Suzanne Lambert, Nora Wise, Maria Schieler, Salvador Mendez Gonzalez, Ernie Saldana, Lupe Martinez, Jim and Debbie Benjamin, Jim and Kay Brown, Loretta Alt, Father Ignatius and Father Ted and all those listed in our weekly parish bulletin.
Our St.Anthony Giving Tree will be supporting St. Vincent de Paul this year. Please consider donating to the Poor Box in the back of the church so that the society can continue to support those in need in our community.
Don’t miss the Beef Tamale Sale on Sunday at the Parish Hall from 10 am-1:00 PM. Please join us to help support Father Ignatius. All proceeds will assist Father Ignatius with Attorney Fees to help extend his Visa.This will allow him to continue serving our parish and with his health care.
Faith formation, OCIA and Bible study will resume on Wednesday, December 3. Students remember to sign in when you attend Mass.
The parish council will meet on Thursday, December 4 at 6PM. All parishioners are welcome to attend.
